NICHOLAS TURNER Owner of Soul Power Yoga At first he thought ‘yoga is not for me’, but later he had to admit how wrong he had been. Yoga has helped Nicholas in recovering from sport injuries by strengthening his body as well as gaining more knowledge of his limits. With yoga he has learned how not to let his competitive nature take over but rather focus on staying true to his own goals. He views yoga as a perfect tool to control one's mind chatter and to increase the sense of being present, something we all seem to lose from time to time. The experience was life changing and she has gone on to complete Level 2 PowerYoga training with Duncan and Level 1 training in 2009 with Baron Baptiste. Gina first became interested in pranayama as a way of developing the breath for cycling and swimming. Later, after a number of sports injuries, the therapeutic capacity of asana practice combined with the pranayama lead her into a study of the eight limbs of yoga. Gina is a certified Level 1 (200hr) Purna Yoga Instructor and has completed Baptiste Power Vinyasa teacher training level 1 & 2 including world renowned Art of assisting programme. Nora enjoyed it so much that she committed to yoga 5 days a week and slowly began to make small changes in her diet and outlook on life. Through Nora’s practice she came to believe that yoga helps us to understand the very nature of our existence: who we are, why we are here, and where it is that we are going. In 2009 Nora obtained her certification as a power/vinyasa yoga teacher in Miami, Florida. BRIGID HARDY, Yoga Instructor Details to follow shortly. His family doctor introduced Nicholas to yoga in 1998. After burning the candle at both ends and not taking care of his body, he had his first ACL reconstruction at a relatively young age. Working long hours in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor and studying simultaneously at a university, he was recommended to start practicing yoga.
